Question and Answer Session

  1. What was the nature of your investment?

The investment I made was for ₦500,000, with the expectation of receiving ₦100,000 monthly over the course of a year. This would have amounted to ₦1,200,000 in total returns. Unfortunately, the investment ceased after five months, and I have been unable to locate the investor since then.

  1. What was the specific mistake you made?

My primary mistake was having unrealistic expectations regarding the return on investment (ROI). Expecting to double my money within five to six months is not feasible, even for high-level investments.

  1. What were the consequences of this mistake?

The consequence was the loss of return on investment . I did not receive any returns on the investment, resulting in a complete waste of the time I had committed.

  1. What key lessons did you learn?

I learnt the importance of investing in more secure and reliable platforms rather than seeking quick and risky returns. It’s crucial to be cautious and diligent when selecting investment opportunities.

  1. What advice would you give to others to avoid the same mistake?

My advice to others is to be realistic about their investment expectations. Understand that a ₦500,000 investment will not realistically yield ₦5,000,000 in five months unless you are prepared to take significant risks. It’s essential to use reliable platforms, exercise patience, and maintain realistic expectations.
